About the Role

OPPAM is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern to support its YouTube team in creating high-quality thumbnails for Malayalam and Tamil content. The role requires a strong understanding of visual communication, design principles, and the ability to create engaging thumbnails that align with the brand's identity and content strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Design visually engaging YouTube thumbnails based on content concepts, titles, and creative references.
- Develop multiple thumbnail variations to support creative testing and optimisation.
- Maintain consistent visual identity across Malayalam and Tamil YouTube channels.
- Apply image editing techniques, including background removal, subject cutouts,colour correction, lighting, and typography.
- Ensure proper visual hierarchy, readability, and composition, particularly for mobile viewing.




- Incorporate feedback and revise designs based on creative requirements and performance insights.
- Coordinate with the content strategy and video production teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain organised and accessible design files, including editable source files and final exports.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent graphic design tools.
- Good understanding of typography, colour theory, composition, contrast, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to create visually compelling and mobile-friendly designs.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with Malayalam and Tamil text layouts. Language proficiency is an added advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple design assignments, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Students pursuing or graduates of Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related disciplines.
- Freshers with relevant design skills and a strong interest in digital content creation are encouraged to apply.
- A portfolio showcasing previous design work is preferred.

Expected Deliverables

- Approximately 3–5 thumbnail concepts or variations per working day, depending on the complexity of the assignments.
- Timely completion of assigned designs and revisions.

Internship Details

- Duration: 3 months.
