Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our Engineering - Software team in Bengaluru. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain high-quality backend systems that scale. The successful candidate will have 4 - 9 years of hands-on Java development experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.

You will work across the full feature lifecycle - from requirements and design through development, testing, and deployment - contributing to a culture of engineering excellence. Local candidates in Bengaluru or Mumbai will be considered and the role is based in Bengaluru with a 1-month notice period preferred. The expected annual salary range is 30 - 32 LPA depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based backend applications and microservices.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with databases and external services.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA to understand requirements and deliver high-quality features.
- Write clean, maintainable code with unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; identify and address bottlenecks.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing; ensure code quality and deployment readiness.




- Participate in architectural discussions and help with technical design documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with the team.
- Support production systems and troubleshoot issues in collaboration with SRE/ops.

Requirements :

- 4 - 9 years of professional experience with Java development.
- Strong proficiency in core Java and object-oriented design.
- Experience with backend development and building RESTful services; familiarity with Spring ecosystem is a plus.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL; familiarity with ORM frameworks.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing strategies, and debugging.
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and modern development workflows.
- Based in Bengaluru or willing to work from Bengaluru; notice period preference of 1 month.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
