Role Summary

Responsible for manual functional and database testing to ensure reliable applications and accurate data. Collaborates with stakeholders to validate business requirements, workflows, and backend data using SQL. Supports all phases of testing and defect management.

What Youll Do

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and data mappings
- Prepare test plans, scenarios, test cases, and test data for comprehensive business workflow coverage
- Execute smoke, sanity, system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Write SQL queries using joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions to validate data and business logic
- Reconcile data between source and target systems and validate transformation rules
- Investigate failures, report defects with explicit evidence, support triage, and retest fixes
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects; report coverage and risks
- Support UAT by preparing business scenarios and validating issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams





What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Bachelor s or master s degree in engineering or a related discipline with relevant experience in manual functional and database testing
- Functional knowledge of finance, investments, portfolio management, portfolio construction, OCIO applications, trading, cash management, compliance, risk, or capital markets
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, test design techniques, defect management, and Agile Scrum delivery
- Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios and comprehensive coverage
- Hands-on experience testing application features, workflows, calculations, and integrations
- Experience validating data across applications, reports, databases, and integrated systems
- Strong SQL skills in a relational database such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Practical knowledge of database tables, keys, relationships, constraints, and transactions
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools for test management and defect reporting
- Experience supporting UAT and working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Experience testing stored procedures, ETL processes, data migrations, or data warehouse workflows
- Exposure to API testing using Postman or Bruno, or functional test automation
