We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Fabric Merchandiser to manage fabric sourcing, procurement, vendor coordination, and material planning. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the right quality, quantity, cost, and timely availability of fabrics to meet production requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Fabric Sourcing: Identify and coordinate with fabric suppliers, mills, knitting units, and textile vendors.
- Material Planning: Calculate fabric requirements based on orders, consumption, GSM, sizes, and colour specifications.
- Purchase Coordination: Prepare fabric purchase orders and follow up on procurement activities.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and minimum order quantities.
- Quality Control: Coordinate fabric inspection and verify GSM, width, shrinkage, colour, defects, and other quality parameters.
- Order Tracking: Monitor fabric orders from booking to delivery and ensure materials arrive on time.
- Inventory Coordination: Coordinate with stores to monitor fabric stock, inward quantities, and material availability.
- Production Coordination: Work closely with the knitting,



dyeing, cutting, and production departments to avoid material shortages.
- Cost Management: Monitor fabric rates, wastage, consumption, and overall material costs.
- Documentation: Maintain fabric purchase records, supplier details, delivery challans, invoices, test reports, and fabric status reports.
- Problem Resolution: Handle fabric shortages, quality rejections, delivery delays, and supplier-related issues.
- Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly fabric procurement, pending orders, stock, and delivery status reports.

Required Skills:
- Knowledge of knitted fabrics, yarn counts, GSM, fabric construction, and dyeing processes.
- Understanding of cotton, polyester, Lycra, fleece, rib, single jersey, and other knitted fabrics.
- Fabric consumption and costing knowledge.
- Vendor negotiation and communication skills.
- MS Excel and ERP software knowledge.
- Robust coordination, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
