1. Job Purpose

To support fixture design, manufacturing process design, and engineering drawing activities for forged and machined automotive components, ensuring manufacturability, quality, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design and develop machining fixtures, locating arrangements, clamping systems, and related tooling.
- Prepare process layouts, operation sequences, and process flow diagrams for machining operations.
- Study component drawings, GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room,



and NPD teams for fixture development and process improvements.
- Support fixture trials, prove-outs, and implementation of engineering changes.
- Assist in reducing machining cycle time, improving productivity, and minimizing rejection and rework.
- Maintain engineering drawings, fixture documentation, and process-related records.

1. Required Skills

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Basic knowledge of fixture design and machining process planning.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, fits, and tolerances.
- Knowledge of CNC machining and automotive manufacturing processes.
- Positive analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

1. Preferred Candidate Profile

A motivated engineering professional with 24 years of relevant experience in fixture design, AutoCAD drafting, and process engineering, preferably in automotive forging and machining component manufacturing.
