Role Description This full-time, on-site Documentation - Custom House Broker role is based in Mumbai. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing import and export documentation in line with customs regulations and company standards. The team member will coordinate with clients, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments.

Daily tasks include verifying commercial invoices and packing lists, updating internal systems, monitoring shipment status, and resolving documentation-related issues. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable customs rules,



supporting internal audits, and providing clear communication to customers regarding documentation and clearance processes.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of customs brokerage processes, including documentation, compliance, and clearance procedures.
- Experience with import and export operations and practical understanding of international trade practices.
- Customer service skills to manage client queries, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain professional communication.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for handling multiple shipments, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in office in Mumbai and collaborate effectively with operations, finance, and external partners.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic logistics or ERP systems; familiarity with customs-related software is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are beneficial.
- Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or customs documentation; formal training or certification in logistics, supply chain, or international trade is a plus.
