Job Summary

We are looking for a Development Engineer with experience in automotive product development, preferably in turbochargers. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end turbocharger development for passenger and commercial vehicle engines, from concept development to production launch (SOP). The role involves design reviews, testing, validation, cost reduction and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Handle end-to-end turbocharger product development from concept to SOP.
2. Develop technical solutions for customer RFQs and support prototype development and testing.
3. Manage APQP, DVP&R;, engineering releases and validation reports.
4. Review 3D models and 2D drawings of components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.
5. Ensure product fitment, functionality and design quality as per Garrett standards and ASME.
6. Drive DFM, cost reduction, localization and productivity improvement activities.
7. Coordinate with Sales, Quality,



Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Program Management teams.
8. Support new product introduction (NPI) and product launch activities.
9. Perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting and field issue resolution.
10. Support FEA, CFD, design simulation and validation activities.
11. Work on GD&T;, drawing reviews and tolerance stack-up analysis.
12. Support innovation, VA/VE and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Knowledge of automotive domain, IC engines and air/fuel management systems.
- Experience in turbocharger or automotive product development and testing.
- Knowledge of engine testing procedures and result analysis.
- Valuable understanding of GD&T;, drawing interpretation and tolerance stack-up.
- Knowledge of casting, machining and stamping processes.
- Understanding of instrumentation and sensors.
- Knowledge of APQP, DVP&R;, DFM and NPI processes.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
