Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Cornea Consultant to diagnose, manage, and treat patients with corneal disorders and external eye diseases. The candidate should have expertise in medical and surgical management of corneal conditions, including corneal transplantation and other advanced corneal procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and treat various corneal diseases and external eye disorders.
- Perform comprehensive ophthalmic examinations and corneal assessments.
- Manage conditions such as keratitis, corneal ulcers, corneal dystrophies, and corneal infections.
- Perform corneal surgeries, including keratoplasty (corneal transplantation).
- Manage patients requiring refractive and anterior segment procedures.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Handle emergency cases related to corneal injuries and infections.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Counsel patients regarding treatment options, surgical procedures, and follow-up care.
- Coordinate with other ophthalmology specialists for comprehensive patient management.

3. Educational Qualification

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MS / MD / DNB in Ophthalmology.




- Fellowship / Fellowship in Cornea and External Eye Diseases preferred.

4. Experience

- Relevant experience in Cornea and External Eye Diseases.
- Experience in managing complex corneal cases.
- Surgical experience in corneal procedures and keratoplasty preferred.

5. Required Skills

- Solid clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Expertise in corneal disease management.
- Good surgical and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and patient counselling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary medical team.

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Patient satisfaction and quality of clinical care.
- OPD consultation and patient management.
- Surgical outcomes and success rates.
- Accuracy of diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Timely follow-ups and post-operative care.
- Compliance with hospital protocols and NABH standards.
