Core Roles and Responsibilities

- Blueprint &
- CAD Interpretation:

Read and analyze technical drawings, engineering blueprints, CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) specifications to understand the exact geometry and tolerances of the final part.

- CAD/CAM Programming: Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software (such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, or SolidWorks) to create 3D models and generate optimal toolpaths.

- G-Code &

- M-Code Generation:

Write, edit, and optimize machine control code (G-code and M-code) that dictates spindle speeds, feed rates, cutting paths, and coolant flows.

- Tool &

- Fixture Selection:

Choose the correct cutting tools, inserts, toolholders, and custom work holding fixtures to ensure safe, repeatable, and effective machining.

- Simulation &

- Prove-Outs:

Run virtual software simulations to check for collisions or errors, and supervise the first physical test run ("first article inspection")



on the shop floor to verify the program.

- Process Optimization &

- Cycle Time Reduction:

Adjust feeds, speeds, and step-overs to reduce cycle times, minimize tool wear, and improve the surface finish of manufactured parts.

- Troubleshooting &

- Problem Solving:

Diagnose issues during production—such as chatter, poor surface quality, dimensional drift, or tool breakage—and update the program or process accordingly.

- Collaboration &

- Training:

Work closely with design engineers, quality control (CMM/inspection teams), and machine operators to resolve drawing discrepancies and train shop-floor staff on proper setup and execution.

- Documentation &

- Version Control:

Maintain accurate setup sheets, tool lists, program backups, and engineering change revisions

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
