Cloud Infrastructure Specialist – Hosting & Platform Administration

About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support the setup, administration, and maintenance of cloud-based environments. The role involves managing cloud resources, configuring application hosting environments, monitoring system performance, and ensuring secure and reliable cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and manage cloud environments using GCP, AWS, or Oracle Cloud.
- Configure virtual machines, storage services, and cloud computing resources.
- Manage application hosting, server configurations, and environment setup.
- Monitor cloud resource utilisation, availability, and performance.
- Configure IAM roles, access permissions, and security policies.
- Handle DNS management, SSL certificates, backups, and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot server connectivity, hosting, and cloud configuration issues.
- Assist with cloud migration,



resource upgrades, and environment maintenance.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational reports.

Skills & Qualifications

- 0 to 2 years of experience in cloud computing or cloud administration.
- Familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Oracle Cloud platforms.
- Understanding of virtual machines, cloud storage, and networking concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Familiarity with DNS, SSL, IAM, firewalls, and access management.
- Understanding of cloud monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is an advantage.
- Awareness of cloud security and resource optimisation practices.
- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
