Hiring: Databricks Security Architect – HIPAA/PHI

Role Overview:

Looking for an experienced Databricks Security professional with hands-on healthcare PHI experience to assess and strengthen security controls across Databricks and AWS/Azure environments.

Mandatory Skills:

- Hands-on Databricks Security and Unity Catalog.
- Proven HIPAA/PHI project experience (mandatory).
- AWS or Azure Cloud Security.
- Data Access Controls, Row-Level Security & Column Masking.
- Encryption, Key Management and Secure Connectivity.
- Logging, Monitoring and Security Gap Assessment.
- Security Documentation and Remediation Planning.

Valuable to Have:

- Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
- HITRUST, SOC 2 or NIST knowledge.
- Databricks / Cloud Security Certifications.




- Healthcare or Life Sciences experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess existing Databricks and cloud security configurations.
- Identify PHI-related security gaps and recommend remediation.
- Review Unity Catalog, access controls, encryption and monitoring.
- Prepare security assessment reports and implementation plans.
- Support security configuration and testing, if approved.

⚠️ Important: Hands-on PHI project experience is mandatory. General Databricks security experience without practical PHI exposure will not be considered. ? Interested candidates/vendors can share relevant profiles along with availability and expected C2C rates.
