Role Description The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Big Star Cafe in Hyderabad. The person in this role oversees daily cafe operations, including managing staff schedules, supervising front-of-house and back-of-house activities, and ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include monitoring food and beverage quality, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

Manager also handles customer feedback, supports sales initiatives, coordinates promotions, and works closely with the leadership team to meet revenue and guest satisfaction targets.



This role involves active presence on the floor, coaching team members, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally and courteously.
- Knowledge of food & beverage operations and food service best practices, including quality control and hygiene standards.
- Sales skills to support upselling, promotion of menu items, and achievement of revenue targets.
- Experience in team supervision or management within a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by cafe operations.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in scheduling, inventory, and reporting.
- Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and standard office tools for tracking sales and performance.
- Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality, management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience is also valued.
