About the role

We are looking for a Powertrain Design Engineer with hands-on experience designing IC engine components in CATIA. You will work on 3D modelling, 2D drawings and design release for engine components as part of an automotive powertrain design team.

Key responsibilities

- Design and develop IC engine components in CATIA.
- Create 3D models, assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Apply GD&T; and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Work on design changes and releases through the PLM system.
- Coordinate with cross-functional and customer teams to meet design requirements.





Key components (experience in several of these)

- Engine block
- Cylinder head
- Camshaft
- Connecting rod
- Piston
- Turbocharger, and other engine components

Requirements

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in IC engine component design.
- Strong hands-on skills in CATIA (V5 / V6).
- Good understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up and casting/machining design.
- Valuable communication and teamwork.

Good to have

- Experience with PLM tools (3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA / Teamcenter).
- DMU / packaging and clearance studies.
- Exposure to OEM engine programmes.
