Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Cybersecurity Engineer.

The Cybersecurity

Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls for applications, networks, and hosting environments supporting Codesbizz’s digital solutions. Daily responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring security events, analyzing threats, and responding to incidents to protect systems and data. The role involves collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security into the design and deployment of websites, applications, and hosting platforms.

The Cybersecurity

Engineer will also document security standards, contribute to security awareness,



and assist in compliance with relevant security best practices and frameworks.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security concepts, including risk management and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Application Security, such as secure coding practices, code reviews, and protecting web applications.
- Proficiency in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection and prevention, and secure network architecture.
- Experience performing Vulnerability Assessment, using scanning tools, interpreting results, and recommending remediation.
- Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents, with familiarity in log analysis, SIEM tools, and threat detection.
- Knowledge of relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST, ISO 27001) is beneficial.
- Comfort working in a remote, cooperative environment, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are a plus.
