About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst with product ownership potential to support our money movement capabilities across domestic and cross-border payments, real-time and batch rails, and card and dispute flows. You will translate business, regulatory, and scheme requirements into clear, testable specifications, own the backlog for a product area, and work closely with engineering, QA, operations, and compliance. This role is a strong stepping stone toward Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment products across SEPA, SWIFT, wire, and card rails.
- Write clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and maintain the backlog for one or more product areas.
- Support prioritization using frameworks such as RICE, WSJF, and MoSCoW, and recommend priorities to the Product Manager based on value, regulatory deadlines, and dependencies.
- Analyze and specify requirements for SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and SEPA Instant (SCT Inst), including scheme rulebook changes.
- Support cross-border payment capabilities, including routing, FX, fees, tracking, and exception handling.




- Lead the analysis and mapping for SWIFT MT to ISO 20022 migration (pacs and pain messages), including field-level mapping, data enrichment, and coexistence scenarios.
- Identify opportunities to improve straight-through processing (STP) by analyzing repairs, exceptions, and manual interventions.
- Document requirements for clearing and settlement, reconciliation, and cut-off handling for Fed, wire, and scheme-based flows.
- Define workflows for card and dispute processing, including the chargeback lifecycle, exception handling, and SLAs.
- Incorporate compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, AML/KYC, BCBS 239/248) into specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Work with developers and QA through sprint planning, refinement, and UAT, clarifying requirements and validating delivered features.
- Track and report KPIs such as STP rate, payment success rate, settlement accuracy, and dispute turnaround time.
- Mentor junior analysts and review their requirement artifacts for quality and consistency.
- Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs with business, operations, risk, and compliance stakeholders.

Business Analysis and Product Management

- Requirements management, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Backlog management and sprint support
- Working knowledge of prioritization frameworks (RICE, WSJF, MoSCoW)
- Process modelling and documentation (BPMN, UML, data flows)
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum, Kanban)
- Foundational technical product thinking and the ability to work with engineers
