ROLE SUMMARY

We are growing our in-house billing operation and hiring Billing Managers to lead AR teams. You will own your team's AR end to end, including payment posting, claim follow-up, denials, appeals and timely-filing risk across your clinic portfolio, and build a team that hits productivity and quality targets every week. This is a hands-on role: you will know the status of your largest and oldest claims, step in on difficult denials and turn recurring problems into process fixes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

AR ownership

- Own payment posting and AR for your assigned clinics, covering posting accuracy, aging,

collections, denials and write-off risk.

- Build and publish the weekly AR worklist, allocate claims by clinic and payer, and review it when it comes back.
- Prioritize work by dollar value, age and timely-filing deadline so no claim ages out unworked.
- Decide the next action on denied claims, approve appeals, and send write-off recommendations for approval with clear reasons.

Team leadership

- Manage the team: run daily huddles and one-to-ones, coach the team and handle performance.
- Set and track productivity and quality targets, and audit a sample of each person's work every week.
- Hire, onboard and train new team members on payers, processes and virtual-care billing rules.

Process & reporting

- Write and maintain SOPs for posting, AR follow-up,



denials and appeals.
- Track denial trends by payer, clinic and CARC/RARC code, and drive root-cause fixes with the

Submission and Insurance Verification teams.

- Report weekly on AR aging, collections, denial rate, productivity and quality.
- Escalate clinic-side blockers to the US Revenue Cycle Manager, and keep standards consistent across AR teams.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

- AR over 90 days falls quarter on quarter, and no claims are lost to timely filing.
- Worklists are issued and returned on schedule, with a recorded next action on every claim.
- The team meets productivity targets with at least 98% quality on audit.
- The team keeps attrition low and can run for a week without you.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE &

SKILLS

- Deep knowledge of US AR follow-up, payment posting and denial management for professional

(CMS-1500) claims.

- Medicare and commercial payer rules, timely-filing and appeal limits, CARC/RARC codes, and

ERA/EOB reading.

- Primary/secondary billing and COB, corrected claims, reconsiderations and redeterminations.
- CPT, ICD-10, modifiers and NCCI edits; RPM/CCM/PCM/RTM experience is a strong plus.
- Strong people management and a data-driven approach, comfortable with dashboards and Excel.
- Clear written and spoken English for working with US stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 8–12 years in US medical billing / RCM, including 3+ years managing an AR team.
- Physician-practice billing experience preferred;

certification (CPB, CRCR or CPC) is a plus.
