We are looking for a skilled Commvault Backup Administrator with 2-5 years of experience in backup and recovery operations, particularly with Commvault Backup & Recovery and CommServe administration. The candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise backup infrastructure, monitoring backup operations, troubleshooting backup failures, and ensuring data availability and recoverability.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and support Commvault Backup & Recovery infrastructure, including CommServe.

- Configure, monitor, and manage backup and restore operations across enterprise environments.

- Perform daily backup monitoring, troubleshoot failed backup jobs, and ensure successful completion of scheduled backups.

- Manage backup policies, schedules, storage policies, retention policies, and backup plans.

- Perform file-level, folder-level, and application-level restore operations.

- Monitor CommServe health, MediaAgents, and client connectivity.

- Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues and perform root cause analysis.





- Manage backup agents and configure clients for backup operations.

- Ensure backup compliance with organizational policies and retention requirements.

- Maintain backup reports, operational documentation, and daily activity reports.

- Coordinate with infrastructure, storage, and application teams to resolve backup-related issues.

Required Skills

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Commvault Backup Administration.

- Valuable working knowledge of Commvault CommCell architecture and CommServe administration.

- Experience in configuring and managing backup and restore operations.

- Knowledge of MediaAgents, Storage Policies, Subclients, Backup Sets, and Retention Policies.

- Experience in troubleshooting backup failures and resolving job-related issues.

- Understanding of backup concepts, disaster recovery, and data protection.

- Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
