Job Title: Senior Cloud Managed Services Engineer - Azure L2 (Banking Sector)

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and monitor Azure environments including VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts, Entra ID (Azure AD), PaaS databases and Activity Log.
- Conduct advanced L2 and L3 troubleshooting across Windows and Linux Azure VMs, resolving OS-level issues and resource bottlenecks.
- Lead patching operations via Azure Update Manager, Ansible and custom scripts, with thorough validation and compliance reporting.
- Maintain identity and threat governance using Entra ID policies, Activity Log and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Respond to incidents using Azure Monitor and PagerDuty, and deliver RCA documentation for major issues.
- Support data protection through automated backups, DR protocols and high-availability configurations.
- Manage issue queues on ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, meeting SLA and OLA commitments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, architects and Microsoft Support to resolve escalated issues.
- Contribute to change management,



weekly operational reviews and configuration audits via Azure Policy or third-party tools.
- Document processes in runbooks, SOPs and knowledge bases to uphold operational excellence.
- Provide backup support on AWS-hosted workloads where required, given the team's cross-platform delivery model.

Skills and Expertise

- Minimum 5 years in Azure-focused cloud operations.
- Mastery of Azure VMs, Storage, VNets, Entra ID, Azure Monitor and Update Manager.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).
- Proficient in PowerShell, Bash or Python for automation.
- Patching expertise using Update Manager, WSUS and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Solid foundation in ITIL, incident and change handling, and service quality metrics.
- Knowledge of banking compliance standards (RBI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Audit preparedness with a focus on security, compliance and system resilience.
- Working familiarity with AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM) is an advantage.
