Summary

UST is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Customization Engineer for a full-time role based in Surat (work from office), to develop, enhance, and maintain CAD automation solutions using AutoLISP, Visual LISP, VBA, and .NET APIs. You will work closely with design and engineering teams to automate repetitive drafting tasks, improve productivity, and integrate AutoCAD workflows with enterprise systems.

The Opportunity

- Develop and maintain AutoCAD customization solutions using AutoLISP and Visual LISP.
- Create automation tools, custom commands, dialogs, and scripts to improve drafting efficiency.
- Develop AutoCAD plug-ins using the C#/.NET API.
- Customize drawing templates, standards, title blocks, and libraries.
- Automate BOM generation, drawing validation, and reporting processes.
- Integrate AutoCAD with external databases, ERP, PLM, and document management systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AutoCAD customization and performance issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to gather automation requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and user guides.
- Provide support and training to end users.
- Deliver CAD automation utilities and plug-ins, automated drafting and validation workflows,



custom AutoCAD commands and user interfaces, productivity improvement solutions for engineering teams, and technical documentation and deployment support.

What You Need

- 3–6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in AutoCAD customization.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in AutoLISP and Visual LISP.
- Good understanding of AutoCAD customization architecture.
- Experience in developing custom CAD automation workflows.
- Knowledge of drawing standards and engineering documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desired Skills

- Experience with the AutoCAD .NET API (C# or VB.NET).
- Knowledge of ObjectARX.
- Experience integrating AutoCAD with ERP/PLM systems.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and database connectivity.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor or Civil 3D customization.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, EPC, or AEC domains.
- Exposure to CAD automation and digital engineering initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
