Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing professional from the Paint / Chemical industry to manage and grow OEM business in the automotive coatings segment, with a specific focus on Plastic Coatings. The candidate will develop OEM and Tier-1 customer relationships, expand opportunities for coatings used on automotive plastic components, and drive sales growth. The role requires sound commercial understanding and close coordination with technical, production and quality teams for customer support and approvals.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop OEM business in automotive coatings, with primary focus on the Plastic Coatings segment.
- Develop business opportunities for coating applications on automotive plastic components, engaging with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers and relevant component manufacturers.
- Generate new business opportunities and expand market share in OEM and Tier-1 segments, particularly within the Plastic Coatings portfolio.
- Achieve annual sales targets, manage business volume and drive profitable business growth.
- Coordinate with technical, production and quality teams for customer trials, product evaluation, troubleshooting, product approvals and ongoing customer support.
- Understand customer requirements relating to plastic substrates, coating applications, finish and performance expectations, and coordinate suitable solutions with internal teams.
- Develop market strategies, pricing plans and competitor analysis to strengthen the company's position in the Plastic Coatings segment.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business, long-term contracts and increased share of business.




- Lead and guide a team of 3 members to ensure smooth execution of sales activities and customer servicing.
- Monitor customer requirements, payment follow-ups, sales pipeline and business forecasting.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 10 - 15 years of overall experience in the Paint / Chemical industry.
- Must have experience handling OEM Automotive Coatings business; exposure to Plastic Coatings is strongly preferred.
- Candidates experienced in selling coatings for automotive plastic components, OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers will be preferred.
- Valuable understanding of automotive paint / coating systems, plastic coating applications, customer requirements, product evaluation and approval processes.
- Strong experience in business development, key account management and achieving sales targets.
- Good customer-handling, negotiation and coordination skills.
- Communication skills: Average; comfortable communicating in English, Hindi and/or the relevant regional language.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech in Paint Technology / Diploma in Paint Technology.
- MBA in Marketing will be preferred.
