1. Job Summary

Looking for an experienced AS400 / IBM i Administrator to manage enterprise IBM i infrastructure, provide L3/L4 support, handle critical production issues, and ensure platform availability, performance, security, and disaster recovery.

1. Roles and Responsibilities

- Manage IBM i (AS400) systems and Power Systems infrastructure.

- Handle L3/L4 support, critical incidents, troubleshooting, and RCA.

- Manage HA/DR solutions, PowerHA, MIMIX, and replication.

- Handle BRMS, backup, recovery, and data restoration.

- Perform system upgrades, PTF management, and performance tuning.

- Manage LPAR, VIOS, PowerVM, HMC, and storage.

- Perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.

- Support automation, system security, and DR activities.

1. Mandatory Skills

- 10–12+ years of AS400 / IBM i Administration experience.

- Strong knowledge of IBM i 7.4/7.5.

- Hands-on experience with Power Systems, LPAR, VIOS, and HMC.

- Expertise in PowerHA, MIMIX, HA/DR, and replication.

- Experience with BRMS, backup, and recovery.





- Knowledge of system upgrades, PTFs, and performance tuning.

- Robust troubleshooting and production support experience.

1. Preferred Skills

- IBM Power9 / Power10 experience.

- Ansible, Python, CL, and SQL Services.

- IBM PowerVS / Hybrid Cloud.

- SAN, IASP, and storage management.

- Splunk or other monitoring tools.

- IBM Power Systems certifications.

1. Education & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 10–12+ years of relevant IBM i / AS400 experience.

1. Working Conditions

- Evening shift: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST.
