: Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle General Assembly (GA) Shop

Position: Mechanical Engineer - General Assembly Department: Maintenance Experience: 4-6 Years Location: Ranjangaon, Pune.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment used in the car assembly shop. The role involves preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of conveyors, filling machine, manipulators, material handling systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic system and other assembly-line equipment to ensure zero downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot General Assembly mechanical equipment.

Maintain conveyors, skid systems, lifts, manipulators, and transfer equipment.

Support engine, transmission, door, seat, wheel, and final assembly stations.

Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with PLC, Electrical, Production, and Quality teams.

Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and OEE.





Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records.

Support shutdown, model change, and capacity expansion projects.

Qualification

BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
