Role Description The Accountant role at KASHIPUR is a full-time, on-site position based in Uttarakhand, India. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and support periodic closing activities.

Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations, assisting with audits, and providing financial data for internal reporting and budgeting.



The role requires close collaboration with store management and other departments to ensure accurate financial records and support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core accounting practices, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of local taxation rules, compliance requirements, and familiarity with audit processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis tools.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and store leadership.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in an on-site retail workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail or supermarket accounting, or in a similar industry, is preferred.
