Role Summary

India House is seeking a Manager (Public Policy Programs) to lead the strategic design, development, and growth of its public policy and leadership programs. The role is ideal for someone who can translate a broad vision into impactful learning experiences, lead teams, build meaningful academic and institutional partnerships, and enjoys operating at the intersection of public policy, governance, leadership, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Program Development

- Define the vision, strategy, and growth roadmap for India House's Public Policy Programs, aligning them with the organization's broader objectives.
- Lead the conceptualization and development of curricula, learning journeys, thematic modules, and experiential learning opportunities across public policy, governance, economy, society, and development.
- Identify emerging opportunities and evolving policy themes to strengthen and expand the portfolio of programs.

Team Leadership and Program Oversight

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 2-3 individuals, providing direction, delegating responsibilities, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability.
- Oversee program planning and delivery, ensuring quality across curriculum development, faculty engagement, participant experience, and operational execution.
- Establish effective systems and processes to monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.

Academic Engagement & Institutional Partnerships

- Build and nurture relationships with academicians, policymakers, practitioners, domain experts, universities, think tanks, and other institutional partners.
- Identify and develop opportunities for institutional collaborations, faculty engagement,



mentorship, and knowledge partnerships.
- Represent India House and its programs in relevant academic, policy, and institutional forums.

Learning Facilitation & Knowledge Development

- Design and facilitate workshops, lectures, discussions, and interactive learning sessions as part of India House's Public Policy Programs.
- Ensure academic rigour and relevance in program content, learning resources, assignments, and experiential projects.
- Guide research and knowledge creation initiatives, translating complex policy issues into accessible learning materials, research notes, articles, and reports.

Desired Profile

- Strong understanding of public policy, governance, development, and contemporary socio-economic issues.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, managing, or leading academic, leadership, capacity-building, or public policy programs.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor individuals, delegate responsibilities, and drive collective performance.
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders and address diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and navigate ambiguity in a dynamic, mission-driven workplace.

Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
