- Receive patients referred for X-ray investigations.

- Verify patient identity using hospital records.

- Check the doctor's investigation request before performing X-rays.

- Explain the procedure to patients and prepare them accordingly.

- Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during the procedure.

- Provide special assistance to elderly, emergency, and physically challenged patients.

- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

X-Ray Procedure &

- Imaging

- Perform X-ray examinations as prescribed by doctors.

- Operate X-ray machines and related equipment properly.

- Select appropriate exposure factors (kVp and mAs) according to the examination.

- Ensure correct positioning and image quality.

- Avoid unnecessary repeat exposures.

- Verify image clarity and ensure proper anatomical coverage.

- Forward images to the concerned radiologist or doctor for reporting.

- Maintain proper records of all X-ray investigations.

Radiation Safety &

- Protection

- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.

- Use lead aprons, thyroid shields, and other protective equipment when appropriate.

- Ensure radiation warning signs are displayed.

- Restrict unauthorized entry into the X-ray room.

- Follow applicable AERB guidelines and hospital radiation safety procedures.

- Monitor radiation safety equipment and personal dosimeter usage.

- Immediately report any radiation-related incident to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).

- Ensure pregnant patients are appropriately screened before examinations.

Equipment Maintenance

- Check the X-ray machine before starting daily operations.





- Ensure the equipment is functioning properly.

- Maintain daily equipment checklists.

- Keep the X-ray room clean and organized.

- Report equipment faults and arrange servicing through the authorized service provider.

- Maintain equipment maintenance and breakdown registers.

- Documentation &
- Records

- Maintain daily X-ray investigation registers.

- Record patient details and examination information accurately.

- Maintain repeat X-ray records.

- Maintain equipment maintenance and quality-control records.

- Maintain radiation safety records and dosimeter reports.

- Ensure proper documentation as per hospital and regulatory requirements.

Coordination &

- Communication

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, and other departments.

- Give priority to emergency and inpatient X-ray requests.

- Ensure timely communication regarding completed investigations.

- Coordinate with the radiologist for image quality and reporting.

- Maintain professional behaviour with patients and staff.

Daily Duties Checklist

- Check X-ray machine functionality.

- Check cleanliness of the X-ray room.

- Verify radiation warning signs.

- Check availability of lead aprons and protective equipment.

- Verify patient details and doctor's requests.

- Perform X-ray investigations safely.

- Upload images and coordinate for reporting.

- Update the X-ray register.

- Maintain daily investigation records.

- Report equipment problems immediately.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
