Job Title: Head Barista / Senior Barista

Department: Café Operations
Reports To: Café Manager / Operations Manager
Location: JAIPUR

The Head Barista is responsible for maintaining the highest coffee quality standards, training baristas, and ensuring smooth daily coffee operations. This role leads the bar team, manages coffee equipment, and guarantees a consistent, premium customer experience.

Key Responsibilities1️ Coffee Quality & Beverage Excellence

- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning of all beverages.
- Dial-in espresso grind daily based on humidity, beans, and machine performance.
- Monitor extraction time, yield, and shot quality.
- Maintain recipe standards for hot and cold beverages.
- Conduct daily tasting (quality check) before store opening.

2️ Barista Training & Team Leadership

- Train new baristas in:
- Espresso extraction
- Milk steaming & latte art
- Brewing techniques (French press, pour-over, etc.)
- Customer service standards
- Conduct refresher training sessions weekly/monthly.
- Supervise barista performance during shifts.
- Create a positive and energetic work environment.

3️ Coffee Machine & Equipment Maintenance

- Perform daily cleaning of:
- Espresso machine
- Coffee grinders
- Brewing equipment
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues.




- Coordinate servicing and repairs when required.
- Maintain grinder calibration and dosing accuracy.

4️ Rush-Hour Operations Management

- Lead the bar during peak hours.
- Maintain fast service without compromising quality.
- Manage order flow and barista coordination.
- Support team during high-volume periods.

5️ Inventory & Stock Monitoring

- Track daily usage of:
- Coffee beans
- Milk & syrups
- Cups and bar supplies
- Inform the manager about stock requirements.
- Minimize wastage and ensure FIFO stock rotation.

6️ Customer Experience & Brand Representation

- Engage with customers and handle beverage-related feedback.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station.
- Ensure brand standards and presentation are followed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–4 years experience as a Barista (1+ year as Senior/Lead Barista preferred)
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction & brewing methods
- Experience in training and team supervision
- Excellent communication & leadership skills
- Passion for specialty coffee and customer service

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹10,582.57 - ₹23,881.19 per month
