Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Critical Competencies for Success: Sales & Indent Planning Execution

n

Prepare category-wise and store-wise sales plans based on historical trends, price point performance, and seasonality.

n

Build store-wise sales plans using key inputs such as target SSPD and growth objectives.

n

Develop accurate indent projections and monitor adherence to approved plans.

n

Track daily/weekly sales performance and highlight deviations for corrective action.

n

Inventory Monitoring & Control

n

Maintain optimal inventory levels for assigned categories across stores and central buffers.

n

Monitor aged inventory and recommend liquidation or reallocation strategies.

n

Support adjustments in inventory plans based on real-time sales trends.

n

Assist in preparing monthly and seasonal inventory budgets for assigned categories.

n

Track actual inventory performance against approved budgets and report variances.

Stock & Range Plan Support

n

Assist in creating and updating model stock plans aligned with category margin objectives.

n

Coordinate with category teams to ensure range plans are implemented effectively.

Data Analysis & Reporting

n

Prepare reports on category performance, stock health, and indent adherence.

n

Provide actionable insights through analysis of sales, inventory turns, and margin realization.

n

Maintain dashboards and trackers for planning KPIs.

n

Cross-Functional Coordination

n

Liaise with warehouse and store teams to ensure timely dispatch and GRN adherence.

n

Collaborate with Design, NPD,



Sourcing and category teams for current product launches and replenishment.

n

Process Compliance

n

Ensure timely PR & PO creation and accurate product universe maintenance.

n

Follow established planning protocols and contribute to process improvements.

n

Support Automation & Tools

n

Utilize planning tools and ERP systems for accurate forecasting and reporting.

n

Provide inputs for automation initiatives and ensure data integrity.

n

Sales & Inventory Planning: Ability to create accurate store-wise and category-wise sales and indent plans.

n

Budget Tracking: Skill in monitoring category-level inventory budgets and OTB adherence.

n

Analytical Acumen: Strong capability to analyze sales trends, inventory health, and margin performance.

n

Attention to Detail: Precision in maintaining data accuracy for PR, PO, and product universe.

n

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to coordinate effectively with category, warehouse, and store teams.

n

Process Discipline: Adherence to planning protocols and timelines for smooth execution.

n

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel for reporting and forecasting.

n

Person Profile Education: Graduate in Business Management, Merchandising, or Supply Chain; Postgraduate preferred.

n

Experience: 6+ years in merchandising planning, inventory control, or category planning within retail or luxury sectors.

n

Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, planning tools, and data analytics.

n

Growth Orientation: Ability to work under guidance of Lead Planning and develop into a strategic planning role.
