We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Naturalist/ Naturalist intern to work at Red Hill Nature Resort,Ooty.

Job Summary: We are looking for a naturalist to educate our guests about the environment and maintain the natural setting on land specifically dedicated to wilderness populations. Their primary responsibilities are preserving, restoring, maintaining, and protecting a natural habitat.

He/ She will also take control of our online presence and build brand awareness and loyalty. They will be the first point of contact for online followers and potential customers, thus developing an intimate relationship with the online community.

- Key Skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility.

· Knowledge of Nilgiris plant, animal life and local indigenous people is highly desirable.

· Ability to handle a variety of animals including snakes.

· Ability to move and set up hiking equipment.

· Hands on experience with social media management for brands.

· Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics.





· Ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics.

· Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels.

· Proficient in Google Analytics.

· Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledge of marketing trends and techniques.

· Efficient time management skills.

- Responsibilities

· Provide customer service and information on environment to all interested in knowing more information.

· Create interest in listeners about the preservation of nature and its various elements.

· Provide information about the resort and its surrounding areas, help identify flora and fauna for guests, show them the beauty of the jungle around them, and point out significant historic, scientific, and natural features of the forests and sites around.

· Identifying and elaborating on interesting points around the property.

· Maintaining a record of the vast biodiversity in and around the property.

· Accompanying guests during the nature trail and sharing info on the diverse life around the place.

· Create engaging content for all platforms, including blog pieces, articles, social media posts, newsletters, and videos.

· Set and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies.

· Engage with the online community and respond to comments, requests, and online reviews.

· Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics.

· Devise and implement community communication initiatives.

· Build relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists.
