The ideal candidate should be capable of handling ground reporting, political coverage, interviews, and field journalism across Ranchi and surrounding regions.n

Key Responsibilities

- Cover news related to Jharkhand politics, government departments, and public interest issues
- Attend press conferences, political events, protests, and administrative meetings
- Conduct field reporting and gather information from reliable sources
- Take video bites, interviews, and statements from politicians, officials, and public representatives
- Coordinate with editorial team for script preparation and publishing
- Identify important and trending local topics for news coverage
- Maintain qualified relationships with government departments and local sources
- Deliver accurate, factual,



and timely reporting
- Contribute to digital and social media news content

Requirements

- Strong familiarity with Jharkhand politics and political leaders
- Minimum 3 years experience in journalism or reporting
- Based in Ranchi or willing to work in Ranchi & nearby areas
- Strong knowledge of current affairs and local issues
- Good communication and interviewing skills
- Ability to handle breaking news and field assignments
- Basic understanding of social media and digital journalism
- Passion for ground reporting and public interest journalism
