Role & responsibilities The Managing Director (MD) will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy execution, financial oversight, and operational excellence of our Jamnagar-based operations.

This role requires a highly accomplished Chartered Accountant (CA) with deep expertise in UK accounting standards and significant experience leading large teams. The MD will ensure strong financial governance while driving business growth and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
nStrategic & Business Leadershipn

- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with UK Board objectives.

- Drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational expansion.

- Identify new business opportunities and efficiency improvements.

- Ensure seamless coordination between UK headquarters and India operations.

nFinancial Governance & Compliancen
n
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
n
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS as applicable) and Indian statutory regulations.
n
- Oversee internal controls, audits, taxation, and risk management frameworks.
n
nOperational Leadershipn
n
- Oversee end-to-end operations of the Jamnagar facility.
n
- Ensure operational efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.
n
- Drive process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
n
nPeople Leadershipn
n
- Lead and inspire a workforce of approximately 500 employees.
n
- Directly manage 45 senior leaders across key functions.
n
- Build a high-performance, accountable, and ethical work culture.
n
- Drive succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
n
nStakeholder Managementn
n
- Act as the key liaison between India operations and the UK Board.
n
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators, auditors, financial institutions, and business partners.
n
- Represent the company in strategic and compliance matters in India.

nCandidate Profilen
Qualifications
n

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
n
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS).
n
- MBA or additional management qualification preferred.
n
nExperiencen
n
- 1520 years of progressive leadership experience.
n
- Proven experience leading large teams (minimum 300+ employees; 500 preferred).
n
- Strong P&L; management experience.
n
- Experience working with international stakeholders or UK-based companies preferred.

- Experience managing cross-border financial governance highly desirable.
