Senior Engineer Communication (CCTV / ACS / PAVA / Telephone Systems)

Position Overview The Senior Engineer (CCTV / ACS / PAVA / Telephone) is responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control Systems, Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA), and PBX Telephone solutions. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on expertise, and the ability to ensure system uptime, compliance, and operational efficiency across a large infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

- CCTV & Access Control Systems (ACS)

n

Installation, Configuration & Maintenance

n

Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, NVRs, servers, and Milestone VMS applications.

n

Install and maintain ACS readers, controllers, field devices, RTC/CDC units, and AC2000 application.

n

Configure, test, and maintain offline devices for CCTV and ACS.

n

Monitoring & Operations

n

Monitor CCTV/ACS applications, IT alarms, and services to ensure uninterrupted operations.

n

Maintain proper camera positioning and ensure complete coverage of all critical interior and exterior areas.

n

Ensure all CCTV/ACS devices remain active, healthy, and in optimal working condition.

n

Troubleshooting & Support

n

Diagnose hardware/software faults and replace defective components when required.

n

Provide technical support for installations, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs as per SLA.

n

Maintain daily backups, performance checks, and incident/problem registers.

n

Ensure timely resolution of complaints and operational issues.

n

Process & Compliance

n





Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change, and Problem Management.

n

Maintain logs, documentation, and incident reports.

n

Ensure spare-part availability and inventory readiness.

n

- PAVA (Public Address & Voice Alarm Systems)

n

Monitoring & Operations

n

Monitor PAVA systems remotely for alarms, failures, and performance issues.

n

Ensure proper synchronization, scheduling, and functioning of PAVA announcements.

n

Configuration & Change Management

n

Oversee upload/download of configuration changes performed by L3 engineers.

n

Implement system changes and prepare PIR (Post Implementation Report).

n

Prepare CIR (Corrective Incident Report) for critical issues.

n

Support & Coordination

n

Serve as the primary point of contact with OEMs/vendors for troubleshooting and escalations.

n

Handle incident troubleshooting, service request fulfilment, and change/problem management.

n

Update, track, and resolve tickets related to PAVA operations.

n

Reporting & Compliance

n

Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports to customers and key stakeholders.

n

Communicate outage details promptly to relevant teams.

n

Identify EOL/EOSL components in the PAVA environment.

n

- Telephone / PBX Systems (Alcatel-Lucent)

n

Installation & Configuration

n

Install, configure, and maintain Alcatel-Lucent PBX systems.





n

Configure IP phones, digital phones, SIP extensions, voicemail, hunt groups, IVR, call forwarding, etc.

n

Operations & Maintenance

n

Perform system upgrades, database maintenance, and backup/restore operations.

n

Troubleshoot call drops, voice quality issues, and network-related telecom problems.

n

Vendor Coordination & User Support

n

Coordinate with telecom providers for line activation, faults, and service availability.

n

Provide first-line support to users and conduct training for phone features.

n

Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, port details, and extension lists.

n

Security & Standards

n

Ensure compliance with call recording policies, telecom standards, and organizational security policies.

n

- General Responsibilities

n

Work in a 24x7x365 shift environment as per operational requirements.

n

Maintain all ELV systems in a clean, secure, and compliant state.

n

Support cross-functional teams and provide assistance to technicians as required.

n

Maintain robust documentation practices for all systems and activities.

n
