The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think tank doing legal research and assisting the government in making better laws. Role Description

nVidhi Karnataka is looking for a Research Fellow who will be expected to:n

n
- Undertake high-quality research on issues related to the legal aspects of education, insurance, climate and urban governance.
n
- Prepare reports, research notes, and presentations.
n
- Coordinate and attend meetings with government officials, academics, researchers, and other stakeholders.
n
- Engage with government officials on ongoing and new projects in drafting laws.
n
- Organize and attend consultations with key stakeholders for informing and disseminating Vidhi’s research.
n
- Write articles, blogs and participate in podcasts to disseminate research work.
n

Eligibility

nEssential requirements

n
- An undergraduate degree in law.
n
- 0-2 years of work experience
n
- Working knowledge of Kannada (spoken and written).
n
- Good research and writing skills.
n
- Excellent communication skills.
n

nPreferable requirementsnn




- Prior experience of working and publishing on critical issues relating to law and policy in Karnataka in the context of education, insurance, climate and urban governance.
n

Location and Remuneration

- This is a full time position based out of Bengaluru.
n
- Remuneration will be competitive, in line with experience and existing structure at Vidhi.
n
