Job Summary
The Junior Doctor (JR) will deliver primary healthcare services through Mobile Medical Units in remote and underserved areas of Uttarakhand. The role involves OPD consultations, basic emergency care, patient referrals, health education, and systematic reporting under the MMU program.
Working Schedule
- 1st to 23rd of every month:
- Active field work with daily MMU medical camps
- 24th of every month:
- Monthly report submission, data verification, and camp closure
- 25th to end of month:
- Off days
- Next working cycle starts from the 1st of the following mont
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct OPD consultations at MMU camps
- Diagnose and manage common medical conditions
- Prescribe medicines as per standard treatment guidelines
- Provide first aid and basic emergency care
- Identify cases requiring higher-level care and initiate referrals
Referral Services
- Refer patients requiring advanced investigation or treatment to
Graphic Era Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun
- Ensure proper referral documentation and patient counseling
Camp & Field Operations
- Participate in scheduled mobile medical camps
- Coordinate with MMU staff (nurse, pharmacist, lab technician, driver)
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and quality care delivery
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily OPD and treatment records
- Ensure accurate data entry and record maintenance
- Prepare and submit consolidated monthly reports on the 24th of every month
- Assist during monitoring visits, audits, and reviews
Qualifications
Essential
- MBBS from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with NMC / State Medical Council
Desirable
- Experience in rural healthcare, public health projects, or MMU services
- Familiarity with Uttarakhand terrain and local language
