Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Reporting to : CEO

Role Purpose

To own and drive the end-to-end sales function for Maharashtra, with clear accountability for revenue targets, order conversion, and market expansion in RD & BGM solutions, while strengthening government relationships, enabling regulatory approvals, and ensuring consistent business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

- Own and drive end-to-end sales strategy and execution for Maharashtra with clear accountability for revenue and order booking targets.
- Drive business from Government departments (Water Resources, Irrigation, Municipal Corporations, etc.) while actively identifying and developing opportunities in Private sector.
- Identify, track, and aggressively convert tender and EPC opportunities into orders.
- Build, manage, and continuously strengthen a high-value, conversion-focused sales pipeline.
- Lead pre-bid discussions, techno-commercial negotiations, and contract closures.
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and improve conversion ratios and sales cycle efficiency.

2. Government Liaison & Relationship Management

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior government officials, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Act as the companys representative for engagements at Mantralaya (Mumbai) and other key government offices.
- Regular follow-ups with departments for project approvals, clearances, and payments.
- Represent the organization in government meetings, technical presentations, and policy discussions.

3. Regulatory Affairs

- Handle all regulatory approvals, compliances, and documentation related to RD & BGM projects.
- Coordinate with authorities for technical approvals, empanelment’s, registrations, and certifications.
- Ensure adherence to state-specific policies, tender norms, and compliance frameworks.

4. Strategic Market Development

- Identify current opportunities & applications in flood control, irrigation, water conservation,



and infrastructure projects both in Govt and Private Sectors.
- Promote RD & BGM as innovative solutions through technical seminars, workshops, and presentations to government bodies.
- Work closely with consultants, EPC contractors, and influencers to position solutions at DPR stage.

5. Stakeholder Coordination

- Collaborate with engineering, project execution, and leadership teams for solution positioning and execution readiness.
- Coordinate internally for pricing strategies, technical inputs, and bid finalization.
- Ensure smooth transition from order acquisition to project execution.

6. Team Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance sales team for the region.
- Define and monitor KRAs/KPIs aligned with revenue targets and pipeline conversion.
- Drive weekly, monthly, and annual sales planning, reviews, and forecasting.
- Ensure strong pipeline tracking, CRM discipline, and performance accountability across the team.

Key Requirements

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)
- MBA (Marketing/Strategy) preferred

Experience

- 15–20 years of experience in government sales / infrastructure / EPC / water solutions sector
- Strong experience in handling Maharashtra government departments
- Demonstrated success in high-value project sales, handling projects in the range of 50 Crores to 100+ Crores
- Proven track record of liaisoning at Mantralaya level
- Experience in tendering, regulatory approvals, and project conversion
- Strong government networking & liaisoning skills
- Deep understanding of tendering processes and public procurement
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Strategic thinking with execution focus
- Strong communication & presentation skills

Preferred Background

- Experience in water infrastructure, irrigation, dams, geomembranes, or related sectors
- Existing relationships with Maharashtra government bodies
