Business Development Manager - Institutional Partnerships
Blue Bolt Electric Pvt Ltd, operating under the Bolt91 brand, is looking for a Business Development Manager to build institutional partnerships for its electric mobility networks in Varanasi and nearby regions.
The role will focus on developing partnerships across educational institutions, student communities, government-linked bodies, Smart City stakeholders, local authorities, tourism ecosystems, ashrams and other community-based organisations.
Bolt91 builds clean, organised electric mobility networks for defined communities such as student residential ecosystems, sacred travel destinations and large township communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with universities, colleges, hostels, coaching ecosystems and student communities, especially around BHU and Varanasi.
- Meet faculty, wardens, administrators, student leaders, hostel operators and campus decision-makers.
- Build and manage relationships with Smart City stakeholders, municipal authorities, development authorities, tourism departments, local government offices and relevant public-sector bodies.
- Identify suitable locations and institutional partners for Bolt91 mobility deployments.
- Support discussions for campus mobility, sacred travel mobility and community mobility partnerships.
- Organise demos, trial rides, meetings, presentations and outreach activities.
- Coordinate with internal operations teams for site visits, partner onboarding and deployment planning.
- Maintain structured records of leads, meetings, follow-ups, proposals and partnership status.
- Represent Bolt91 professionally in meetings with senior institutional and government stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
- 5-10 years of sales, business development,
institutional partnerships or government liaison experience.
- Solid local network in Varanasi, especially within BHU, educational institutions, local authorities or public-sector ecosystems.
- Prior exposure to the BHU ecosystem is strongly preferred.
- Experience dealing with universities, colleges, government offices, municipal bodies, development authorities, tourism bodies or public infrastructure stakeholders.
- Ability to manage senior-level relationship building, formal meetings and proposal follow-ups.
- Candidates with only retail sales experience and no institutional relationship experience may not be suitable.
Preferred Background
- Experience in education-sector partnerships, government liaison, institutional sales, infrastructure projects, mobility, tourism, EVs, smart city projects or public-private partnership environments.
- Understanding of Varanasi’s local ecosystem, including BHU, city authorities, tourism zones, ashrams, hotels, hostels and public infrastructure locations.
- Comfort in working with founders, administrators, public officials, faculty members, local operators and community leaders.
- Skills RequiredStrong relationship-building and follow-up discipline.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to work with formal institutions and government-linked stakeholders.
- Comfortable preparing meeting notes, basic proposals and progress updates.
- Local networking ability and confidence in field meetings.
- Practical problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to coordinate between partners and internal operations teams.
Role Outcome
- The person should help Bolt91 open and manage institutional doors across education, government-linked and community mobility ecosystems, enabling the company to build clean electric mobility networks in Varanasi and beyond.
