1. Position Overview
Sai Eternal Foundation requires a full-time IT Technician / IT Support Executive for handling day-to-day IT support, maintenance, troubleshooting and coordination for its office at New Shimla, Shimla, and as and when required, for its various project/site locations. The selected candidate should be an all-rounder who can independently manage routine IT issues, maintain office IT equipment, coordinate with service providers/OEMs where required and ensure minimum downtime of IT systems.
1. Scope of Work
The candidate shall be responsible for support, maintenance and troubleshooting of:
- Desktops, laptops and computer peripherals
- Printers, scanners and plotters
- CCTV systems, cameras, DVR/NVR and related storage
- Intercom/EPABX systems
- LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and networking systems
- Biometric attendance machines
- UPS and basic IT-related power backup issues
- Operating systems, drivers and basic software issues
- Audio-visual equipment and meeting room systems
- Tally, ERP and basic application-level support
- Email, internet, data backup and general IT support
- Other IT-related equipment and systems used by the organisation
1. Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate shall:
1. Provide regular IT support at the New Shimla office.
2. Attend and resolve hardware, software, printer, CCTV, intercom, networking and other IT-related complaints.
3. Carry out preventive maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
4. Maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity and basic network infrastructure.
5. Maintain CCTV, DVR/NVR, camera recording and backup status.
6.
Support users in basic software, email, ERP, Tally and system-related issues.
7. Install and update operating systems, drivers and approved software as per requirement.
8. Ensure antivirus, data backup and basic cybersecurity hygiene.
9. Maintain records of IT assets, repairs, complaints, warranties and service history.
10. Coordinate with vendors, OEM service centres and external technicians for specialised repairs.
11. Visit project/site locations whenever required by the organisation.
12. Assist in procurement of IT equipment by giving technical inputs and rate comparisons.
13. Ensure minimum downtime of office systems and quick response to urgent issues.
14. Submit regular reports regarding pending complaints, recurring issues and required replacements/upgrades.
15. Site Visit Requirement
The candidate may be required to visit different project/site locations from time to time, depending on organisational requirements. Travel, boarding/lodging or outstation allowances, if applicable, shall be paid as per company policy or as approved by the management from time to time.
1. Spare Parts, Repairs and Approvals
The candidate shall not carry out any major repair, formatting, hardware replacement, software installation,
data transfer or disposal of IT equipment without prior approval of the authorised officer. Any spare parts, consumables or replacement items such as cartridges, toners, cables, cameras, hard disks, printer heads, plotter parts, intercom parts, DVR/NVR parts, UPS batteries or other items shall be procured/replaced only after approval of requirement and rates.
1. Reporting and Documentation
The candidate shall maintain proper records, including:
- Complaint register/service report
- IT asset register
- System-wise configuration details
- Warranty/AMC records
- Repair and replacement records
- CCTV/backup checking records
- Vendor/service centre contact details
- Pending issue report
1. Required Skills and Experience
The candidate should preferably have practical experience in:
- Desktop/laptop troubleshooting
- Printer, scanner and plotter support
- CCTV and DVR/NVR troubleshooting
- LAN/Wi-Fi/networking setup and maintenance
- Intercom/EPABX basic support
- Biometric machine support
- Operating system and driver installation
- Basic software troubleshooting
- Email, internet, backup and antivirus support
- ERP/Tally/basic application-level support
- Office/institution/construction company IT support
