Job Title: Engineering Supervisor

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager

Location: Gokulam Grand Kovalam

Job Purpose To supervise and coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring all engineering systems, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained in excellent working condition, in line with 5-star hospitality standards, safety norms, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Technical

- Supervise daily preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, STP, WTP, fire-fighting, elevators, and general civil works.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas.
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas; report and rectify defects.
- Coordinate with other departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B;) for maintenance requirements.

Team Supervision

- Allocate duties and supervise technicians and maintenance staff on shifts.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance of the maintenance team.
- Provide on-the-job training and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety procedures.

Preventive Maintenance & Records





- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain logs, checklists, job cards, and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, and statutory regulations.
- Support audits, inspections, and certifications (Fire, Electrical, Pollution Control, etc.).
- Report hazards, accidents, and near-miss incidents immediately.

Vendor & Cost Control

- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when required.
- Assist in monitoring consumption of utilities and spares to control costs.
- Support the Chief Engineer in inventory control and requisitions.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility maintenance, preferably in a 4-star / 5-star hotel.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of hotel engineering systems.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From ₹23,000.00 per month
