Job Overview

The Solar Service Manager will lead and manage SUN360s service operations, ensuring optimal performance of installed solar systems and delivering an excellent customer experience. This role requires solid technical expertise in solar PV systems, proven leadership capabilities, and a customer-first approach to service delivery.

You will oversee service technicians, manage maintenance and troubleshooting operations, and continuously improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilties

a) Service Operations Management

- Oversee preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems
- Plan, coordinate, and dispatch service technicians for site visits and maintenance activities
- Develop and implement service processes and best practices to improve efficiency

b) Technical Leadership
- Provide expert technical guidance on solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and monitoring platforms
- Review and approve service and repair reports ensuring quality and compliance
- Stay updated on evolving solar technologies and integrate improvements into service operations

c) Customer Experience
- Manage customer service requests and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Address customer concerns professionally, maintaining high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with sales and project teams for a seamless post-installation experience

d) Team Leadership Development
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of service technicians and support staff




- Allocate resources effectively to meet service demands
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development needs

e) Compliance, Safety Documentation
- Ensure all service activities comply with regulatory and industry standards
- Implement and enforce safety protocols across all service operations
- Maintain accurate service records, compliance documents, and customer logs

f) Performance Monitoring Reporting
- Track KPIs such as response time, resolution time, and system uptime
- Analyze service data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Prepare and present performance reports to senior management

g) Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to enhance service quality and reduce system downtime
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost efficiency, and technology upgrades
- Support installations, upgrades, and warranty-related activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy , or a related field (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in solar service management, operations, or maintenance
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage, and monitoring tools
- Experience with service management software, CRM systems, and reporting tools
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
