ABOUT THE ROLE

Genovation is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Backend Developer (Python) to support the development, integration, and maintenance of scalable backend systems and APIs for enterprise applications and internal platforms.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Product Team, Technical Architects, and Frontend Developers to build reliable backend services, optimize application performance, and support API-driven system integrations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong Python fundamentals, backend development knowledge, API handling capabilities, and problem-solving skills. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy coding, backend system development, automation workflows, database handling, and scalable application design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python
- Build and manage REST APIs and backend services
- Collaborate with frontend developers for seamless API integration
- Work with databases for data storage, retrieval, and optimization
- Support system integrations, automation workflows, and backend processing
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Assist in deployment, testing, and backend application monitoring
- Write clean,



maintainable, and scalable code following best practices
- Maintain technical documentation related to APIs and backend modules
- Coordinate with technical teams during implementation and issue resolution
- Support ongoing improvements and feature enhancements for internal and client-facing platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

✔ 1–3 years of experience in Backend Development using Python

✔ Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and backend integrations

✔ Knowledge of frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django preferred

✔ Familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

✔ Basic understanding of Git/version control systems

✔ Knowledge of cloud platforms, Docker, or Linux environments is a plus

✔ Strong logical thinking and debugging capabilities

✔ Valuable communication and teamwork skills

✔ Willingness to relocate to Chennai or Coimbatore if required
