Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Area Sales Manager role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with a mix of fieldwork and some work-from-home flexibility.

The Area Sales

Manager will oversee sales operations within the assigned territory, including planning and executing sales strategies to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution targets.

Responsibilities include managing and supporting distributors and retail partners, monitoring stock levels, ensuring product visibility, and driving in-store promotions. The role involves regular market visits to track competitor activity, collect customer feedback, and identify current business opportunities.

The Area Sales

Manager will prepare periodic sales reports,



forecast demand, coordinate closely with the supply and marketing teams, and mentor field sales representatives to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in area or territory sales management, preferably in FMCG, food products, or spices.
- Strong skills in sales planning, target achievement, and channel/distributor management.
- Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and derive actionable insights for territory growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with retailers and distributors.
- Comfort with fieldwork across the Kolkata metropolitan area and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in basic digital tools (Excel, email, mobile reporting apps, CRM or sales tracking tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of local market dynamics and regional languages in and around Kolkata is an advantage.
