Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager role based in Hyderabad.

The Area Sales

Manager will oversee sales operations within the assigned territory, including planning, executing, and monitoring sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.

Responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of Medical Representatives and Sales Executives, conducting joint field visits, and ensuring effective coverage of key markets, pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare professionals. The role involves regular market analysis, competitor tracking, and identifying new business opportunities, as well as driving product visibility and brand promotion in line with company guidelines.





The Area Sales

Manager will also be accountable for accurate sales forecasting, timely reporting, adherence to compliance standards, and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or healthcare sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding area or territory sales targets.
- Solid territory management and field execution skills, including route planning, market coverage, and channel management.
- Team leadership abilities, with experience in supervising, coaching, and developing field sales teams.
- Solid relationship-building and negotiation skills for working with distributors, retailers, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
- Competence in sales planning, forecasting, data analysis, and reporting using basic MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Understanding of pharmaceutical, OTC, FMCG, or Ayurvedic product markets and relevant sales processes; prior experience in these segments is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey product value propositions clearly and professionally.
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and organized, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an MBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively
