Position Details

Position: Physical Security Manager

Hiring location: Bhubaneswar

Work mode: 5-day work from office

Employment Type: Contract

Roles Overview

The Security Manager will be responsible for planning and executing all physical security operations at the Bhubaneswar office. Reporting directly to the Head of Physical Security, the incumbent will leverage military discipline to protect people, property, and assets through systematic deployment of access control, CCTV surveillance, perimeter security, fire & life safety systems, and a well-managed guard force — while maintaining full regulatory compliance and proactive liaison with local authorities.

Job Description





- Implement and enforce the Physical Security Policy, SOPs, and Guard Orders for the Bhubaneswar office.
- Manage the Security Control Room, monitoring surveillance feeds, alarms, and access logs in real time.
- Ensure incidents are immediately escalated to the Head of Physical Security and recorded in the Daily Occurrence Book.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and document findings with CCTV evidence, witness statements, and physical evidence.
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, and local Police on incidents requiring formal disciplinary or legal action.
- Manage visitor and contractor entry through identity verification, escort protocols, and temporary pass issuance.
- Maintain the credential database and promptly grant or revoke access rights for employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Enforce personnel and vehicle gate-pass procedures at all entry/exit points.
- Review footage for security incidents and preserve evidence for investigations or legal proceedings.
- Plan and conduct fire drills and emergency-evacuation exercises at defined frequencies.
- Train security staff and floor wardens on fire safety protocols and emergency first response.
- Conduct daily briefings, periodic performance reviews, and maintain discipline standards.
- Act as the physical security point of contact for HR, Admin, IT, Facilities, and Operations teams.
- Coordinate periodic asset verification and reconcile discrepancies with the Finance/Stores team.
- Circulate security notices and awareness materials in Odia, Hindi, and English.

Qualifications/Key requirements

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Indian Armed Forces / CAPF at the rank of NCO or JCO (Havildar, Naib Subedar, Subedar, Subedar Major, or equivalent paramilitary rank).
- Minimum 5 years post-retirement hands-on experience in Corporate Physical Security.
- Permanent resident of Bhubaneswar / Odisha; full fluency in Odia (spoken and written) is a must.




- Minimum educational qualification: 10+2; Graduate preferred.

Good to have:

- Diploma / Certificate in Security Management, Industrial Security, or Fire & Safety (NEBOSH / IOSH / NSC / CISF-equivalent).
- PSARA license or working knowledge of PSARA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ACS / CCTV platforms (CCURE9000, Honeywell, Bosch, Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, etc.).
- Working knowledge of MS Office for MIS, report writing, and correspondence.
- Valid First-Aid or Basic Fire-Fighting Certificate.
