Position: Mechanical Fitter – Pump Maintenance

Job Location: JDPL Site, Cuncolim, South Goa

Employment Type: Full time

Job Summary

JDPL is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter with hands-on experience in pump maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and overhauling. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining pumps and associated mechanical equipment to ensure reliable and effective plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial pumps.
Perform dismantling, inspection, overhauling, and assembly of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and identify root causes of pump failures.
Replace mechanical seals, bearings, gaskets, couplings, impellers, and other pump components.
Perform pump and motor alignment using standard alignment techniques.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical specifications.
Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports,



and job completion documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.

Qualification & Experience
ITI (Fitter) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in pump maintenance and mechanical fitting.
Experience in industrial plants, utilities, water treatment, chemical, power, or manufacturing industries will be preferred.
Knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and alignment practices.

Required Skills
Pump overhauling and troubleshooting.
Mechanical seal and bearing replacement.
Shaft alignment and coupling maintenance.
Use of measuring instruments and maintenance tools.
Ability to work independently and under maintenance schedules.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
