Role Description The Field Supervisor – Hitech Horti Cluster Mathura will oversee day-to-day field operations and implementation of horticulture-related activities within the designated cluster. This is a full time, on-site role based in Mathura, involving regular visits to project locations, coordination with farmers, local stakeholders, and technical experts.
The role includes monitoring project progress, collecting and maintaining field data, organizing trainings or demonstrations, and ensuring adherence to planned timelines and quality standards.
The Field
Supervisor will support mobilization of community members, facilitate communication between project teams and beneficiaries, and prepare concise reports and updates for internal use. The position also involves identifying on-ground challenges, suggesting practical solutions,
and ensuring that project guidelines and safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Experience in field supervision or community-based projects, preferably in agriculture, horticulture, or rural development.
- Ability to coordinate with farmers, producer groups, local institutions, and project partners in a respectful and inclusive manner.
- Strong skills in data collection, basic record-keeping, and preparing simple field reports.
- Comfort with on-site work, frequent field visits, and working in rural or semi-urban settings around Mathura.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical or project-related information clearly.
- Basic proficiency in using mobile phones or tablets for data entry; familiarity with spreadsheets or simple digital tools is an advantage.
- Problem-solving mindset, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Minimum of a relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, rural development, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Prior experience working with development organizations, NGOs, or government-supported cluster programs will be considered an asset.
