Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Critical Care Physician role based at Amara Hospital in Tirupati.

The Critical Care

Physician will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and ongoing management of complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities include leading multidisciplinary rounds, coordinating with nursing and allied health teams, and developing individualized treatment plans. The role involves managing ventilators and other life-support systems, supervising procedural interventions within scope, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols and quality standards.



The physician will also participate in emergency responses, contribute to clinical teaching and case discussions, communicate clearly with patients families, and support continuous improvement in critical care services.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, with the ability to manage multi-organ failure and complex ICU cases.
- Relevant exposure to Pulmonology and Anesthesiology, particularly in ventilator management, airway care, and perioperative critical care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Critical Care Nursing teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered ICU care.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed residency/postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Pulmonology, or equivalent, with specialized training or certification in Critical Care preferred.
- Valid medical registration/license to practice, with clear clinical judgment, solid procedural skills appropriate to critical care, and adherence to ethical and patient-safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to work in a high-acuity environment, make timely decisions, and support teaching and mentoring within the department.
- Prior experience in an ICU or high-dependency setting is strongly preferred; experience in an academic or teaching hospital setting is an advantage.
