About the Role
We are looking for a driven, technically fluent Key Account Manager to lead the sale of our wastewater treatment plants ETP, STP, WTP and Leachate treatment alongside our Greethane biogas / bioenergy solutions. This is a solution-selling role: you will own the full sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities through technical consultation, commercial negotiation and order closure, while nurturing a portfolio of key end-customer accounts. The ideal candidate already brings hands-on expertise in wastewater treatment and a track record
of closing orders with end customers. You will have an established network and strong customer connect in the South region particularly Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and the willingness to travel extensively to be close to customers and project sites. You will work closely with our
technical, process and project teams to convert pipeline into revenue, and act as the trusted point of contact for the accounts you own.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue
- Own and deliver the sales target for wastewater treatment plants (ETP, STP, WTP, Leachate) and Greethane biogas / bioenergy solutions across the assigned region.
- Manage the complete sales cycle prospecting, qualification, technical consultation, proposal, negotiation and order closure.
- Build and maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and provide accurate forecasts to the Chief Business Officer.
- Convert existing customer relationships into repeat orders and references.
Key Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic end-customer accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and retention.
- Map decision-makers, influencers and procurement processes within each account and build multi-level relationships.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across Tritron and Greethane™ offerings within existing accounts.
Technical Solutioning
- Understand customer effluent / wastewater characteristics and treatment requirements, and position the right Tritron™ or Greethane™ solution.
- Work with internal process and engineering teams to develop techno-commercial proposals, costings and solution designs.
- Conduct and coordinate site visits, technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers.
Market Development
- Grow Scalene Livprotec’s presence in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh by developing new accounts in industrial, municipal and institutional segments.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, tenders and regulatory developments (e.g. ZLD, CPCB / KSPCB norms) and feed insights back to the business.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, exhibitions and trade forums.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Coordinate with project, execution and after-sales teams to ensure smooth handover and customer success post-order.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts, opportunities and activities in the CRM, and submit timely sales reports.
Skills & Competencies
- Consultative, solution-oriented selling with strong techno-commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read technical requirements and translate them into customer value.
- Self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable owning the full sales cycle.
- Robust relationship-building and account-management instincts.
- Fluency in English and regional languages (Kannada and / or Telugu strongly preferred for South-region coverage).
- Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office and digital sales workflows.
Travel & Location
This is a field-facing role based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, with active coverage of the South region. The role involves 40–50% travel — primarily within Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh — for customer meetings, technical discussions, site assessments and project follow-ups. Candidates must be willing and able to travel at short notice as the pipeline requires.
