Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchase Manager – API & Packaging Materials (Pharmaceuticals), based in West Delhi. The Purchase Manager will manage end-to-end procurement of APIs, excipients, and packaging materials in line with production plans, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying vendors, obtaining and negotiating quotations, finalizing purchase orders, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while controlling costs. The role involves close coordination with production, QA, QC, finance, and regulatory teams to ensure timely availability of materials and documentation. The Purchase Manager will also monitor supplier performance, manage contracts, track market trends,



and maintain accurate records and reports in relevant procurement systems.
Qualifications

- Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically for APIs and packaging materials.
- Strong understanding of pharma regulations, quality standards, and documentation requirements related to raw materials and packaging components.
- Demonstrated skills in vendor development, negotiation, and contract management to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
- Ability to plan and control inventory, analyze consumption patterns, and align procurement with production schedules.
- Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software, MS Excel, and other tools to manage data, reports, and purchase documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA or specialized certification in procurement or supply chain is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in West Delhi and manage time-sensitive procurement activities in a fast-paced environment.
