Regional Manager

Team: Area Manager + Medical Representatives

Company: Largest Pharmaceutical Company (Name Confidential)

Experience: 15-20 Years in Pharma Sales (Minimum 1-2 Years as RM/2nd Line Manager)

Role Overview:

The Regional Manager will lead and expand the company's business across the territory, driving prescription growth, team productivity, and market penetration. This role requires robust leadership, scientific selling capability, and proven experience in managing field teams in the pharma industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business & Sales Leadership

- Deliver regional sales targets across all brands and therapy segments
- Develop monthly and quarterly business plans for the region
- Ensure consistent prescription generation through effective doctor coverage
- Drive brand visibility and market share growth in assigned territories

2. Team Management (AM + MRs)

- Lead, coach, and motivate the Area Manager and Medical Representatives
- Conduct joint fieldwork, onthejob coaching, and performance reviews
- Ensure adherence to call averages, coverage plans, and reporting discipline
- Identify training needs and build the capability of field teams

3. Market Development & Execution





- Strengthen relationships with key doctors, hospitals, and trade partners
- Plan and execute CMEs, doctor engagement programs, and regional marketing initiatives
- Ensure product availability through effective stockist and distributor coordination
- Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights

4. Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, ethical promotion guidelines, and regulatory norms
- Maintain accurate MIS, sales reports, and market intelligence
- Drive CRM/Reporting tool usage across the team

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- A graduate in Science/Pharmacy preferred
- 10 years + of pharma sales experience with strong exposure to the required state & territory.
- Minimum 1-2 years as a 2nd Line Manager
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage large territories and diverse teams
- High energy, discipline, and strong execution capability
