We are seeking experienced Core Routing Network Engineers to deliver WAN, PoP, hosting,
and site core networking infrastructure as part of a large-scale corporate divestiture
programme. The role is responsible for designing, building, and migrating Layer 3 core
network services - including WAN replacement, new PoP build-outs, hosting interconnects,
site core routing, and multicast - while simultaneously performing configuration cleanup on
divested-entity infrastructure ahead of Day 1.
The successful candidate will work across multiple site environments and technologies,
delivering routing and switching changes at pace through both manual and automated
methods, collaborating closely with the automation and tooling team, security workstream,
and platform/identity teams.

Routing & Switching
Solid enterprise/service provider routing background (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP)
Deep understanding of VRF-lite and MP-BGP for traffic segmentation
Experience with Cisco Catalyst (9000 series) and Nexus (NX-OS) platforms
Solid understanding of Layer 2 technologies including VLANs, trunking, spanning tree, and
pseudowires (L2VPN/VPLS)




Multicast routing (PIM-SM, RP/BSR, IGMP)
WAN & Service Provider Technologies
Experience with WAN design, build, and migration (MPLS, SD-WAN, point-to-point circuits)
Familiarity with colocation/PoP environments (rack and stack, cross-connects, circuit turn-
up)
Understanding of internet edge architecture including peering, transit, and GRE tunnel
integration
Data Centre Networking
Experience with Nexus spine-and-leaf architectures (NX-OS, not ACI)
Understanding of hosting network integration patterns (hyperconverged infrastructure,
NAS, cloud outpost connectivity)
Familiarity with pseudowire and overlay technologies for DC interconnect

Network Design & Migration
Experience with large-scale network migration or separation programmes
Ability to produce and execute detailed migration plans with rollback procedures
Understanding of VRF separation strategies for multi-tenant or separation use cases
Change management discipline (maintenance windows, peer review, impact assessment)
