Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Define, structure, and own the KPI framework for L2++/L3 features (e.g., ACC, LKA/LCC, lane centering, automated lane change, traffic jam assist) — covering safety, comfort, perceived quality, and system responsiveness metrics.
Set and justify numeric targets for each KPI based on vehicle dynamics, benchmarking, regulatory limits, and customer experience goals.
Build and maintain a clear mapping of which vehicle/control parameters influence which KPIs (e.g., how lateral acceleration/jerk limits affect ride comfort scores, how controller gains affect overshoot and settling time, how sensor latency affects time-to-collision margins).
Work with controls, perception, and calibration teams to trace KPI shortfalls back to root-cause parameters and recommend tuning direction.
Define and support validation/test strategy for KPI verification, including test tracks, scenario matrices, and objective measurement methods.
Benchmark competitor L2++/L3 systems and translate findings into internal target revisions.
Prepare KPI documentation aligned with relevant regulatory and ADAS standards (UNECE R79, AIS 197, ISO 26262, ISO 21448/SOTIF, and comfort/safety assessment protocols) for internal sign-off and homologation support.
Collaborate cross-functionally with system architects, software/controls engineers, test & validation teams, and OEM program managementExperience
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Solid, demonstrable understanding of vehicle dynamics (lateral, longitudinal, and vertical) and how dynamic parameters translate into ADAS/AD system KPIs.
Prior experience defining, tracking, or validating KPIs/targets for automotive systems, ideally ADAS or AD features.
Ability to independently analyze test/log data and connect KPI deviations to underlying vehicle or controller parameters.
Robust documentation and cross-functional commun
